Schon von weitem fällt an der dem Holstenwall zugewandten Seite des ehemaligen DAG-Hochhauses
eine Reihe von sechs tanzenden Bronzejünglingen von Karl Opfermann ins Auge, die über-
einander an der Fassade angebracht sind, und ebenso auf der Rückseite am Pilatuspool ein mächtiger
Bronze-Elefant mit Reiter von Ludwig Kunstmann.

Vor allem die Arkaden zum Johannes-Brahms-Platz sind vielfältig mit keramischen Reliefs, Skulpturen,
Ornamenten und Mosaiken geschmückt.

An der Decke des Arkadenbereichs erinnern Wappen an die dem Deutschen Reich durch den
Versailler Vertrag verloren gegangenen Provinzen.

Nicht weniger eindrucksvoll und zeittypisch sind die mit leuchtend roten Fliesen ausgekleidete Eingangs-
halle, die bei einer Renovierung zwischen 1987 und 1991 ihren ursprünglichen Charakter zurückerhielt,
und das Treppenhaus im Stil des Art Déco.
